[Having been only a small child when Japan was taken over, Mafuyu hadn't been able to do anything about the sudden occupation of her homeland. She had been barely old enough for school, she couldn't have even dreamed of fighting back. And as she grew up, she watched the oppression and discrimination around her as the Japanese people (she would never call them 'Elevens,' not in her private thoughts at least) were treated like second-class citizens. She watched as her father's company went under, and he had to take a low-paying position within one owned not by the Japanese, but by Britannians. She watched as her mother went from 'housewife' to 'grocery store clerk' in order to earn enough money to feed all of them. She watched as her neighbors got spirited away one night, all because their son was a troublemaker who had pissed off the wrong person.
She watched, she grew up, and she became angry.
But she was afraid, too. She regularly ran with the 'wrong crowd', and all too often guys from the group disappeared, especially since the start of that trouble with the black knights. She wanted to do something, anything, to get rid of all of her pent up anger and frustration, but she knew that if she did anything her family would be in jeopardy.
That was when she decided to start using a disguise. Specifically, the disguise of a man. It was easy enough, she was very flat-chested and un-girly in pretty much every way, so all it took was a wig, some loose clothes, and a perpetually frowning face to transform herself into someone else entirely. Mafuyu couldn't do anything, but Natsuo could.
Of course, even as Natsuo, she couldn't actually do that much. Minor mischief-making was about all she could manage, she didn't have the funds nor the backing of a terrorist organization to help her. But it was enough to make her feel a little better about her place in this world, knowing that she was greatly inconveniencing the Britannian elite of her city.
It was also enough to get her in a shitload of trouble, should she ever get caught. Which was why Mafuyu, disguised as Natsuo, was running away from her most recent crime of popping all the tires in a parking garage at an apartment building for Britannians. She had done this one solo, instead of calling on her fellow delinquents to help her, so she had to escape on her own when the security guards found out what she was doing.
So, she is currently running down an alley, trying to duck around corners and throw the security guards off her trail. The police probably aren't too far behind, they would have been called immediately, so she really needs to escape before they show up.
Running into people probably won't help with that, though. Which means of course that's exactly what will happen.]
