[Yeah, Shiro totally didn't mean to accidentally summon a heroic spirit. He was trying to summon SOMETHING, to be sure, but he hadn't realized that the half-covered drawing on the floor (someone had dropped papers over it) was actually some kind of summoning circle. Nor did he realize that the eyepatch on the ground was important.
