Post-redacted threads + other nonsense

This post is mostly for threads with Shiro involving Redacted stuff. So either other time loops, post-game, stuff like that.

But I'm also throwing my other shit in here too because yes.

It's either to that attic or to somewhere else potentially important. All we need to do is-- [He reaches out and grabs Rin by the shoulder as he cuts off mid-sentence.]

Nii-san. Go back to the room and grab my first aid kit off of the desk.

[He should have been carrying it with him. He should be carrying his guns. Stupid.]

Be careful not to step on anything when you come back.

[There's a quick glance at the footprints (enough to tell if they're bare feet or shoes, if it's entire "I stepped in a puddle of blood" footprints or partial "got a little blood on me" footprints, but Yukio's less focused on following whoever left than seeing if anyone is still here. He's heading in to the kitchen, looking around for any obvious threats to his safety and any other people who might be here. If someone's injured, he can help.]

Ah?

[He knows that voice. That's Yukio's serious voice. It wakes him up instantly too, and a quick inhale through his nose tells him all he needs to know.

Blood. How had he missed that before?]

I'm not leaving you here alone, you don't even have your weapons.

[Neither does Rin, technically, he's without most of his demon powers (only the physical changes remain). But between the two of them they could totally take down a murderer, yeah?]

C'mon, let's go see. If we find someone hurt, then I'll go get your first aid kit.

Fine. [Yeah, that will be fine. He can send Rin for help if it ends up being necessary.

That's a lot of blood. If this is all from one person this isn't a medical situation, it's a murder scene. But Yukio isn't a homicide detective, he's an exorcist who (if he's lucky) is going to be spending the next few minutes desperately trying to keep someone from dying, and so he's carefully moving in.

... that's a corpse. But he still steps up, reaches down to check pulse, breathing, any signs of life.]

[Fortunately the corpse is still in one piece, so checking for signs of life is a good idea. Unfortunately, this body is dead and cold. No treating anyone today, Yukio gets to be a corpsetoucher!

So uh. The most obvious wound is the huge stab mark on this guy's chest. It looks like he got run through by a sword, and he had plenty of time to bleed out. In fact, Yukio is going to get bloody just by being near this body.

Rin is standing back, looking a little horrified.]

That's...is he alright?

He's dead. [He's extremely dead. And this is a crime scene.

And they're trapped in this house, with no way of calling the police or any other kind of help. This is going to get nasty if they can't figure out who did it, and even if they can.

Yukio is checking for anything obvious, a dying message or a piece of clothing or hair held in the corpses fists, any obvious self-defense injuries.]

Nii-san. Go stand by the door and make sure no one else comes in here unless I tell you.

Y-yeah, sure.

[Seeing someone he talked to recently as dead seems to have shocked Rin into complying. He will go over and stand near the door, giving Yukio room to work and keeping others out of it.

If Yukio cares to notice, Rin accidentally stepped in some blood and left a couple fresh footprints. They're close to the other set, so he can compare the size if he wants.

There is no dying message, and no self-defense injuries either. This guy got run through with a sword and then got left to die. That said, there are some white hairs stuck in the blood, like they fell off of something and landed there. The victim does not have white hair, by the way.]

[White hair. A dog, is his first thought. Or someone with white hair, or a fur lining of a coat. They're on top of the blood, not underneath it, so they fell afterwards.

He stands, looking around the room for any obvious clues.]

Do you see anything out of place, nii-san? Try not to step in any more blood. [But he can take a look at those footprints in comparison, because that might help him get an idea of the murderer's height.]

[Well, those things are definitely possible! He should hang onto them to compare to white things later.]

I haven't looked around yet, I thought you wanted me watching the door.

[Well. The shoe treads are different patterns, but the feet are exactly the same size. ]

[Yukio glances up, sees Rin's white hair and-- pockets the hair from the blood puddle.]

Look around now. I think I've found as much evidence as I can, it won't matter too much if anyone else steps on any. If there's anything different from how it looked the last time you were here, that might be important.

[Oh right, he's used to going into the kitchen! He might notice something missing!]

Right, okay. Gimme a sec-

[And now he's over digging through the cupboards.]

I don't see any knives missing...how did this guy get stabbed?

A sword, probably. [Rin has a sword. And Rin has white hair. And Rin could match the footprints.]

Do you see anything else out of place? When was the last time you were in the kitchen?

Uhhhh, last night before curfew? I washed the dishes.

[There are indeed dishes in the drying rack! And they are dry. Because they were left out to dry all night.

Though the towel that normally hangs by the sink for towel-drying is gone. Hm.]
