It would have probably helped some, if Rin had any remnants of his uniform that weren't blood stained or torn to shit now. Though "help" is relative - the presence of an Exwire/student uniform on him probably would have just confused Shiro even more. The more the other man talked, the more Rin's normally slow brain clued in to what was going on here.

How in the hell that was even possible, Rin had no fucking clue, but if a place could bring people back to life as well as kidnap them from anywhere, maybe any time could happen, too.

Really he wouldn't put anything past a murder box that could do things like take his powers away with an eclipse and nothing more...

Okay. Okay. He needed to play this carefully. Shiro shouldn't know the name Rin or Okumura, if he was that young. Young enough that the idea of adopting two little boys obviously hadn't crossed his mind, because a father would know his children even grown up.

It took a few more breaths to get back to feeling halfway normal, but the tightness was still there in his chest as he fumbled for an answer.

"N... no. I mean-- I got a twin brother. Why? Thinkin' you know me?"
