Just a lot. But Shiro is trying to keep calm here, if he lets his emotions get the better of him then it'll be even harder to do what he has to do.
He keeps his eyes on Stein as he moves. Shiro has no idea if Stein will become violent or not. It's better to prepare for the worst, though.
