How about this :3
One night in December, there's suddenly a knock at Marie's door. HMM I WONDER WHO THAT MIGHT BE?]
no subject
Hello- oh?
no subject
Even though Shiro looks exhausted as fuck and his arms are full of babies, he still manages to give Marie a weak smile.]
Yo. Long time no see.
no subject
That can be addressed only as she's herding him inside and getting the door closed behind him. ]
When I said my door was always open, somehow I wasn't expecting this. [ She's just fussing, though, and it's obvious there's no actual complaint behind her words. ] Come in, come in. To the couch, go on, I've already got tea made.
[ Oh, and... ]
Since when have you had children?
no subject
The only thing he'll keep with him is the two babies, but they get to lay down on the couch for now since they are sleeping.]
Since about a week ago. They're Yuri's actually.
[Yuri is one of Shiro's brightest students, and she quickly became a colleague of his once she graduated from the exorcist academy. Well...was, now.]

Pretending to be sane didn't hide the fact that five people had gone missing, though.
Shiro knows what he has to do. He's got his shotgun over one shoulder, and several handguns tucked into various hidden parts of his coat. But still, he finds himself hesitating.]
You're getting sloppy.
no subject
Sloppy?
[The word trails off into confusion.]
I don't remember.
[He doesn't know if he's lying or not. There's blood on his hands, splattered on the white of his lab coat. When he looks at Shiro his whole head turns rather than just his eyes, a sweeping, loose movement.]
Am I?
[He'd been trying to fight it for so long, hanging on to the edge in fear of the unknown.
Then he let go.
It's not so bad here.]
no subject
[Just a lot. But Shiro is trying to keep calm here, if he lets his emotions get the better of him then it'll be even harder to do what he has to do.
He keeps his eyes on Stein as he moves. Shiro has no idea if Stein will become violent or not. It's better to prepare for the worst, though.]

works for me
At first he thinks this is some kind of prank from a certain stupid demon, but after glancing around real quickly Shiro sees that there is nobody else nearby waiting to burst out laughing at this situation. So, after a moment's thought, he crouches down and moves to help Alucard stand up. The least he can do is get the guy inside and take care of his wounds.]
/thumbs up
...Or do much of anything other than get to the nearest surface that is not the ground and lay down for a while, for that matter.]
Going with 1, and I can start it \o/
But they had missed a Pincushion, tucked away in a corner, blocked by some boxes they had yet to go through. It's range was blocked by the boxes as well, but that only lasted until Rin had landed herself right in it's one narrow field of view with her back to it..
It had been such a moment of victory for her... until the faint ptchoo! sounded from it. There was no time to move, and the spike went right through from her back to her chest.
She couldn't scream. She couldn't even cry out. There was just a moment of dead silence as she felt warm, sticky blood rush out from her wounds and down her skin, down her chin from her mouth, staining her clothing and dripping on the ground. She couldn't pull in a breath, air suddenly blocked from getting to her lungs. She stumbled forward, one step, two steps, and her knees buckled. The sky above tilted and spun, and strong arms caught her. There were cries then, people shrieking her name, barking orders, but anything after that just became a faded mess of memories hazed by pain like she had never felt before. Words didn't make sense, though lips moved on the faces above her.
Bon was touching her face. Was he saying to hang on? She couldn't tell. He looked angry. He always looked angry. But there was something in his eyes that betrayed just how truly frightened he was for her.
From then on it was like the lights in her mind were being turned on and off - black, then vision, black, then vision, too many jumbled pictures to make sense of it all. She was being taken back, that much she understood, but beyond that...
She had been through a lot of things, sustained a lot of injuries, but she always came back from them. She healed faster than a human, recovered from fights and battles in record time even when she still sometimes had to be patched up, but this... could she come back from this... ?
At some point she blacked out entirely, and unbeknownst to her she had been taken care of back in the Bastion. It was a waiting game from there. Body bandaged, she lay in her bed, chest rising and falling with some struggle to her breaths. She would wake up, it was just a matter of when.]
BEING AONO IS SUFFERING
Rin had been out of it for three long, long days. And during that time, Bon had barely left her side. Sleep rarely came, and it had taken Marie to finally get him to eat a decent meal.
It was hard to stop watching over Rin, simply because he didn't know what was going to happen to her. She had accelerated healing, thanks to her demon side, but she had also taken a big-ass spike right to her chest. Even with healing, there was no guarantee that she would survive such a serious wound, especially without a doctor there to take care of her. All they could do was sit and wait.
While Bon sat there, leaning his chair back against the wall next to Rin's bed, all he could do was think about that day. There had to have been something he could have done differently. They could have been watching more carefully, or even have shouted out a warning to her. Something, anything different could have saved her. But he hadn't acted, and here she was, somewhere between life and death.
She better pull through. Bon wouldn't be able to live with himself if she didn't.]
at least we aren't meduca? =D;
But those three long days passed and, just as what would have been considered evening had it not been for the constant light on the Bastion, her fingers twitched. Her tail followed suit, slipping off the edge of the bed and curling. There was no groan, no noise as she opened her eyes, blinking slowly as if uncertain that what she was seeing was really there in front of her.]
They COULD be meduca
Whoops he had totally meant to be awake when Rin woke up.]
I have a feeling that would horrible
Her lips moved in a swear, but no voice came out, throat dry and scratchy from three days without speaking. Her hand released the shirt only to dig in to her hair, head shaking harshly as she mentally berated herself for such a sloppy move. She should have known better, to let her guard down so easily...
It was done and over with, but she had a feeling there would be more than one person who was going to fuss at her, or yell, or make some big deal over it.
I should go let them know I'm alright...
With that thought she started to get up, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed, every move slow and achy. It was then that she finally spotted Bon. She had been so wrapped up in her thoughts and waking presence that she hadn't even heard him breathing, but it made her stop and stare, lips slightly parted in a faint expression of surprise.
How long had he been there... ?]
Bon... ?
[Hesitantly, a hand reached out, fingers tapping his knee.]
It would be
For a moment, he doesn't know what to say. She's awake, and it doesn't look like she's in pain, which is good. He wants to yell at her for not paying attention, but he feels too relieved to be angry.
Plus she might not be fully healed yet. Fast healing or no, she just had a huge hole in her chest. He really should check on that first.]
How are you feeling?
[He tries to sound neutral as he says that, but his voice cracks near the end, betraying his feelings. For a while he had really thought she wasn't going to pull through.]

PART 2 MUCH LATER
Yo, let's go out to the Skyway today.
[Yeah it's pretty much business as usual, even if they're dating.]
no subject
She was in the middle of mending a shirt (poorly, but at least she's trying) when Bon popped up to say that.]
... oh thank God I thought I was gonna go insane from boredom. Yes. Please.
no subject
[He's still going, though. Now that he's being truthful about his feelings, he has even more of a vested interest in Rin's safety.]
no subject
[She's not going to argue against the company. They don't get time to themselves often, so even if it's the Skyway it's still a break from being around the others.]
