2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.

6. BREAKUP. You've been dumped. You need someone to comfort you, possibly by the one who dumped you.
7. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to makeup.
8. RESCUED. You've just been held captive and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.

14. INSOMNIA. You can't sleep anymore, no matter how hard you try. Maybe someone can give you company.

[But he says it firmly, not as an answer to Rin's question, but to tell her that he knows what she's thinking and that he won't let her do it.]
We're in this together, I'm not leaving you here.
[But he will pull away from her to try to stand on his own. He's still dizzy but not as absolutely worn down as he was before. The weird gas is making its way out of his system now.]
no subject
Never let me have any fun...
[She moved an arm around under him, keeping him supported even as he stood.]
Better hope this works...
[She can't see where those creeping monsters are, so she's going to close her eyes and try to get her flames to cooperate while being more or less blind to her target.]
no subject
Bon braces himself for the fire, but also to catch Rin if she starts to fall. He has a feeling he will be supporting her soon enough.]
no subject
But she's going to do her best. A few deep breaths in and out, slowly, while she tries to listen past her own breathing and Bon's as well as any other noises to the ones that are around them, hidden by the swamp. Her stomach was lurching painfully, but she ignored it as much as she was physically capable of.
Her eyes opened and with it the rush of flames lashing out from her, billowing out in a circle around the two of them. They didn't burn Bon at all, focused completely on the creatures around them.
Not everything hit, but it seemed to get the point across, and there was a cacophony of shrieks and cries as things went scrambling away.
For a second, she smiled, relieved that she had succeeded but also relieved that Bon wasn unharmed. But her knees buckled a second after that smile, and she retched noisily.]
no subject
On the other, a pukey Rin is never good.
Bon is at least enough of a gentleman to hold her hair for her while she throws up again. Then he'll slip an arm around her waist to hold her up. If they lean on each other, maybe they'll be able to make it back.]
C'mon, let's go before they come back.
[When they get back, he's just going to sleep for a long time. He is so done with today.]
no subject
She nodded quietly, once more forcing one foot in front of the other so they could get back.
Bon's plan worked, though, and while a few creatures still milled about, they were wary of those flames and let them pass.
Returning to the Bastion had them both collapsing from sheer exhaustion and, given being poisoned, dehydration. While Rin didn't remember much, she did remember being tended to by a few of their fellow residents, and put in bed to rest, same with Bon.
Sleeping was an on and off thing, but any waking was followed closely by dozing off again, until about five hours later. She was groggy, but that was better than being nauseous and dehydrated. She slipped out of bed, tugged her blanket around her shoulders and shuffled out of her apartment down the hall.
This time there was no knocking on the door, no asking if he was awake or if it was even ok to come in. She just entered, and found a spot on the bed next to him to curl up on.]

We keep getting into messes, don't we?
no subject
Don't think we'd be us if we didn't get in to trouble all the time...
[She mumbles it sleepily, and it almost seems like she's going to fall asleep again, but she asks something instead.]
What did you see... ?
no subject
It was dark, so dark I could barely see.
...
Satan was there.
no subject
... figures. Can't get away from him, even here, huh?
[Bad joke, but she was trying to find some humor in it.]
... you were screamin'... when I tried to wake you up.
no subject
[He thinks it was a dream, it really felt like one. A drug-induced dream.]
He...he was burning me from the inside out.
no subject
But she was groggy enough that the nightmare of it was still too hazy to really recall, even if she swore at the time she had felt the pressure on her throat...
Hearing what Bon said, she found herself clinging to him a little tighter.]
I'm sorry... even if he was still here some how, I'd never let him do that to you, though..
no subject
Bon flinches at that, because he knows that it should help make him feel better, but it really doesn't.
He doesn't have the heart to tell her that Satan has possessed her, though. He's going to deal with this nightmare on his own.]
I don't think he's gonna show up here, we'll be alright.
[And he slips an arm around Rin's shoulder to pull her into a kinda-sorta hug.]
no subject
She fidgets a little, getting comfortable in his arms, mumbling sleepily as tiredness finally started to take her again.]
I'd still protect you... 'cause... that's why I wanted to be an exorcist. So I could be strong enough... no one else would have to die...
no subject
[He doesn't really know what else to say to that right now. He always knew Rin had a thing with protecting people, but it took him until now to realize that he really did count in that 'protect everyone' thing.
But he doesn't want to be protected by Rin, he wants to protect her.]
Don't try to do everything yourself.
[If he protects her and she protects him, then they'll both be safe right?]
no subject
[Tired as she was, rambling away under a half-asleep state, she felt a pang in her chest at admitting that.]
An' I was scared every day I was gonna lose you...
[She meant 'you' in the sense of all of them, of course, but speaking to him directly made the implication of the statement far more personal to Bon than she meant it to.]
no subject
[Bon will just shoosh Rin while petting the back of her head. She's just making herself upset with this talk, and getting upset right now won't help. She's still weak from the gas attack and needs rest (and he does too, technically).]
You're not gonna lose me, I'm not going anywhere. You're not alone anymore.
no subject
She mumbles something else, but it's an incoherent jumble of nonsense words that don't actually mean anything, and soon enough her breathing evens out - a sign that she's finally fallen back asleep.]
no subject
Two things, in fact.
Spoilers: they're spirits from the distillery, and they have an interesting effect, though Bon doesn't know what it is. He's unsure of if he even wants to drink one or not.]
no subject
[And now he has a third thing - a Rin latched on to his back.]
Whatcha got?
no subject
They're called 'spirits.' Apparently you drink 'em and then things happen.
no subject
Ooh... what kinda things?
no subject
[A pause.]
I'll drink one if you drink one.
no subject
... okay.
no subject
Well, bottoms up.
[And then he drinks it.]
