For a moment, Bon thought he had stumbled off of the Skyway, or maybe some chunk of ground had opened up under his feet and let him plummet. But as he fell he realized the perpetual sunlight of the Skyway was nowhere to be found, and he was trapped in some kind of twilight hour, with the moon high in the sky but the stars strangely absent.
It was dark enough that he didn't see the end of his descent, he just went tumbling face-first into what was probably water, splashing down deep into it and lingering below as the surface became still once more.
Bon managed to look up (he assumed it was up, he could see the light from the moon), but he couldn't pull himself to the surface. Any attempts to swim up were about as effective as an ant trying to move a brick house.
Just as it felt like his lungs would burst, the water level suddenly dropped, and he broke through to the surface. He gasped for air as he tread water, trying not to slip below the surface again, and eventually he was able to push himself over to the edge of the water and climb out onto land.
But as he pulled himself out, a faint blue glow was cast over the area, sending shadows dancing this way and that. Bon looked up, and he saw Rin there (Boy Rin? Girl Rin? Every time he blinked it seemed to change), surrounded in the blue flames that usually meant a fight was going to happen. So Bon stood up, paying no mind to how damp he was from his little swim, and started over to where Rin was.]
Okumura.
[Rin glanced down at him (how was she suddenly taller than he was?), but something was wrong. Bon could see it in Rin's eyes. Those weren't Rin's eyes, those eyes struck an old fear deep within Bon. In a flash, he was forcibly reminded of where he had seen them before. The priests, Renzou's brother (he shouldn't be able to remember that, he wasn't even six months old when that happened), and now Rin...
Bon backed up a step, and the thing possessing Rin just grinned.
Then it raised a hand to point at Bon. He raised his arms reflexively, to protect himself, but no attack came. Instead he felt a burning, a painful, terrible heat.
Bon opened his eyes, and he saw that his arms were covered in blue flames. he quickly moved to pat out the flames, but nothing made it stop. The fire spread up his arms, down his body, and covered his entire being.
Then it builds deep within him, a sharp pain that felt like it would tear him apart. He could feel the tears running down his face as he crumpled, screaming in pain as he felt himself burn to a crisp from inside-out.
Outside of the hallucination, Bon suddenly curled up on himself, clutching at his head with his hands. He was still obviously trapped in his hallucination, his eyes were still closed, but he began to shake.

Then the screaming started.]
