[Absently blinking his eyes rather owlishly, Saburota's hand fished into his just as wet coat and pulled out a striped white and blue handkerchief to wipe at his face.]

[Stein has begun to figure out that even people not as driven by curiosity as he is have very short interest spans. It only took a few weeks for him to fade into the background as far as most of the other cram school students were concerned, and then a month of good behavior before the teachers started relaxing around him.

He's been on very good behavior, quiet, obedient, even polite. It won't last, of course, but for now he sits quietly in class, taking notes and listening to his teachers just as instructed.

Sometimes, he can't write, can't listen, because everything fades down under an overwhelming desire to take everything apart and it's all he can do to stay in his seat and not make a noise until the moment passes. Those moments are getting more and more frequent, and he wishes they'd just let him have something he could dissect, because if he doesn't get his hands on a demon he will kill one of his classmates.

Stein enters the classroom a few steps ahead of the teacher, and goes to sit in his usual spot by Shiro.]
