[It's a cute inn, at the very least. Large grounds, hot springs, a nice dining area, and all the amenities you would expect for a 'romantic getaway'. It was the sort of place Shiro had thought about going to, but never really had the reason to. 'Lovey-dovey' didn't really describe what he and Stein had, even if they had been unofficially together for years at that point.

But hey. If that damn weaboo demon wanted a show, he would get a show. And if they got to kill a few demons living in some of the abandoned rooms, then all the better.

So of course Shiro was playing it up too, even moreso than he did in those moments of 'I'm being flirty for a reason~' that he had sometimes. After all, they were a newlywed couple on their honeymoon, not a team of exorcists there to work. So he leaned in and threaded his fingers in with Stein's, rubbing his thumb over Stein's knuckle.]

I think it looks great. You know how much I love a good hot springs.

[Then, he used his free hand to cup the side of his mouth and stage-whisper to the woman who had greeted them:]

Almost as much as I love him.

[Playing up the sap indeed.]

[Stein laughs, leaning against Shiro as he stage-whispers. This is a hell of a lot more affectionate than he usually is, and more than he's comfortable with. Flirtation is fine, something a little sharp and interested, but this is too gentle, there aren't low words and a smiling flash of teeth.]

We'd really like a room somewhere private, [he says, moving his arm so it's draped sort of over Shiro's shoulders, still holding onto that hand so he can pull the smaller man close.] We wouldn't want to disturb your other guests.

[The woman looks more than a little embarrassed, especially since Shiro is giving her a wink at that comment. Of course, any shouting coming from their room is probably going to be them shouting fatal verses, but nobody needs to know that. Let them assume the happily married couple is happy indeed.

The private room was a good call too, because it put them near the supposedly haunted rooms. Just around a corner and down two more doors, and they would be there. Perfect access late at night.

Once they're dropped off by their guide and left for some privacy for the time being, Shiro sets about checking their room for any signs of tampering. All of the rooms with strange happenings in them are in the northernmost hall at the back of the inn, but that hall shares a courtyard with the room they're in, so the infestation could have spread a bit.]

Stash the gear in the futon closet, maybe? Nobody's gonna be looking in there, especially if we put out the 'do not disturb' sign.

[Nobody wants to walk in on a naked couple after all.]

[Stein stashes the gear, also inspecting for signs of demonic activity. Nothing so far, just futons too short for him (as usual).]

Were you planning on putting up that sign already, senpai? [And there's the usual grin, back again after now that they're alone.]

[That's okay, when they're spooning Stein is all curled up anyway, he'll fit on it.

And Shiro will go ahead and grin back at Stein.]

Of course. I can't let them walk in on my absolutely ravishing husband in a state of undress, now can I?

[yyyep he's still cheesing it a bit. Or is he? It's hard to tell when there's not a crowd to put a show on for.]

I don't think we have to worry about anyone coming to check in on us for a while, after that little show we put on. [Stein says, then steps closer to Shiro. If they're going to keep playing this game, Stein isn't going to be the one to back down first.]

I've heard the demons here prefer showing themselves at night, so we have a few hours before we need to get to work.

[The mistake there is that Shiro won't be the one to back down either. He's just grinning up at Stein, leaning casually against the wall support right there.]

You know, I think you're right. How will we keep ourselves busy until then hmm~?

Oh, I think we can come up with something. [Stein says, stepping closer and reaching out a hand to toy with Shiro's buttons.]

After all, we are on our honeymoon.

[Stein is obscenely tall compared to Shiro, so much so that he normally has to stand on his tippy-toes to sneak kisses. But that kind of a move would not be suave at all, and he's trying to play up the suave-ness. So instead of stretching himself up, he'll reach up and cup one of his hands around the back of Stein's head, gently trying to pull him down to his height.]

And if anybody happened to be peeking in, then they only have themselves to blame for seeing things they might not want to see.

[Most people aren't that nosy, but these two losers happen to work for someone who IS.]

[And, obligingly, Stein lets himself be pulled down. Shiro taking the lead isn't unusual at all, and it never stops being intensely thrilling.

Stein leans in, close enough to feel Shiro's breath against his lips.]

I can't imagine anyone wanting to look in on us. [Other than Mephisto.]

What do you think they'd expect to see?

mmm...

[He's going to steal a quick kiss before responding to that.]

Well, I am quite talented with my mouth. I bet they wouldn't be surprised by me putting that to good use.

[And then there's another, longer kiss this time. Shiro loves doing all sorts of things with Stein, but kissing is one of his favorites. He'll never get tired of it.]

[Between the kisses, Stein laughs, just a little short breath of sound because he doesn't have time for anything more. He loves this sort of positive attention, when the background noise of the world fades out under soft pressure and closeness. Shiro's always been able to do this, always been able to catch his attention and hold it in a way that so few other things do.]

Should we give them what they expect, or should we surprise them?

I'd rather surprise you, you know. Sweep you off your feet, make you forget about those prying eyes for a little bit.

[Not that Shiro could literally sweep Stein off his feet, not with the height difference, but details.

And he really should be focused on the mission here, there actually is a real chance of the demons here watching them right now. But in a private honeymoon suite, with Stein right there and clearly interested, it's hard to do. Shiro might be able to hold Stein's attention, but he's also one to get lost in Stein's everything.]

What do you think? This is a honeymoon, after all. It would be a shame if we didn't break in the bed at the very lest.

[Oh, he's extremely interested in that, in the simple idea of being so wrapped up in Shiro that he can't think about anything else, in forgetting and being distracted.]

It is our honeymoon. [He agrees, turning and pulling Shiro towards the bed, backing up until he finds the edge of the futon and tugging Shiro down with him.

This wasn't in his original plan for today, but he's absolutely into the idea of breaking in the bed. Or just breaking the bed.]

[Plans never survive the first meeting on the battlefield anyway. They're both talented exorcists, they can make up for it later.

Right now, Shiro is a bit preoccupied with the fact that he's now on top of Stein, and entirely by Stein's doing. Shiro is ready to go all the damn time, but it's really special when Stein takes the initiative. The magic of a honeymoon indeed.]

'Our honeymoon', I like the sound of that.

[They're not actually married. Shiro never really brought up the subject before. They're in a tentative limbo of 'living together and sharing a bed' that has been going on for many years at this point. But thinking of them like that- as a married couple- that stirs something deep within Shiro. He wouldn't mind it, he realizes. It's not something he would actively pursue right now, but if they somehow ended up married, he wouldn't mind it.

Which means he is absolutely going to play up this 'honeymoon' as much as possible. To get a taste of what it's like to have a husband instead of 'that guy I trust and sleep with sometimes'.]

I guess I shouldn't be too rough though. It wouldn't do any good if you're too sore to move by the time we're done.

[But he's going to kiss along Stein's jawline after saying that, just so he can make it more difficult for Stein to speak.]

[He tilts his chin up, giving Shiro better access to his throat as he grabs at the older man's clothes.]

You know I can handle it, senpai. [Stein murmurs, as if he doesn't always want Shiro to be too rough, as if he doesn't want to be too sore to move once Shiro gets done with him. Playing with the idea of a honeymoon, of being married... yeah, he's distracted.]

I know you can. But there's a world of difference between 'handle' and 'ready for round two.'

['Round two' being the fighting tonight, of course.

He knows Stein's number. Rough play is nothing new with them. The way he's nipping at Stein's neck now is a good indication of that. But he feels like he needs to do it right, all romantic and stuff. They've had sex many times before, but this is a honeymoon after all. It needs to be sweet.

He'll go ahead and shrug out of his coat too, though he leaves his shirt for Stein to remove. Undressing each other is something he's always enjoyed too.]

[He sighs, because of course Shiro is being responsible tonight, despite the pressure of his teeth against Stein's skin. He slips his hands up under Shiro's shirt, pressing his nails against Shiro's skin as he slides the fabric up in an attempt to encourage just a little more roughness. Clearly, his idea of a honeymoon isn't as gentle as Shiro's.]

[Clearly it isn't, and Shiro is finding it difficult to not be persuaded away from his gentle ideas. Especially when Stein is doing that thing with his nails that Shiro really, REALLY likes.]

Fuck, you know me too well, don't you?

[That is murmured against the skin of Stein's neck before he bites down. It's not hard enough to draw blood, but it will probably still leave a mark. Maybe rough isn't too bad, he's thinking. A little roughness might be alright.

It's harder to undress Stein when he's laying down on the bed, but he can at least push Stein's shirt up in the front. Shiro can get handsy too, and touching Stein all over is always fun.]

I do, don't I? [Stein replies, tilting up to meet Shiro's mouth and the pressure of that bite. He shifts, just enough to help Shiro move that shirt out of the way (but not enough to get the shirt off completely, he doesn't want that).

Shiro's shirt can come off, tugged off with a little more rush than absolutely necessary, but Stein's used to the feeling of being rushed, used enough to it that he thinks he prefers it.]

[And then Shiro is shirtless. But somehow Stein is still dressed. Shiro glances down at himself, noting the absence of clothing. Then he looks back up to Stein with an amused grin on is face.]

How do you keep getting me undressed before I even get your glasses off?

[The answer is that it is very easy to strip Shiro because he likes being touched everywhere, so he shucks clothing very easily.]

Like you said, I know you too well. [He says, grinning and sliding his hands down Shiro's chest.]

Besides, [he says, and his grin turns a little sharp as he sets his hands on Shiro's back and pulls him closer] I like seeing you like this.

[Shiro goes right along with Stein's pulling, ending up chest-to-chest with Stein. He's not even trying to hold himself up now, he'll just slot a leg in-between Stein's and move his hands up to either side of Stein's head so they can toy lazily with his hair.]

I figured. I always catch you staring at me, you know? Especially after a shower.

[He might have made a little show out of drying off and getting dressed in the past. He's shameless like that.]

I can't help it, [he says, shifting to take advantage of that leg pressed between his, pressing his nails against Shiro's skin.]

Have you seen yourself, senpai?

Maybe once or twice.

[He says that slyly, avoiding what Stein is getting at while still being absolutely aware of what he is trying to say.]

Why don't you tell me about it? What about me looks good, hmm?
