I was hoping we could discuss the future, and all it holds. As you have likely ascertained by now, neither I nor Nora have any intention of rejoining the Foundation even with their latest changes in protocol and decorum. It was quite noticeable that you and the denizens of this shop are not aligned with them as well.

The previous shop owner was insistent on staying outside of the affairs of people and countries. ...well, most of the time.

I would like to keep it the same for as long as possible, though direct intervention may be necessary in the future. Friendships and connections and all of that.

But you didn't bring that up to get my stance on it, I'm guessing?

In a way, I did. I will put it as simply as possible, then.

I do not require a "base" anymore than I did in the past, stars and celestial bodies are always moving, even if it is often unseen to the human eye. Nora however would likely benefit from having a place to call his own. [ A quick look to outside to where dog shenanigans are likely taking place. ]

And I did grow accustomed to experiencing some parts of daily life with others during the events preceding my arrival here. Therefore: I am interested in taking up residence in this shop, and in exchange I am willing to provide you with my assistance in whatever shape you may need it—providing it doesn't threaten my universe or those I hold dear.

I think that can be arranged. The main concern I have is collateral damage on Nora's part. Something will need to be done to ensure he does not damage the shop, as repairs can be quite costly. And not just in the monetary sense. It isn't a cost I would want either of you responsible for.

Oh? Does this structure have a magical component? I understand however, and I will impress upon Nora that property damage is off limits. I do not foresee it becoming a problem, but I should warn you that the kitchen will likely become much busier.
