[It may not be a Super Secret Plan, but it's secret enough that Rin is not expecting it at all. In fact, he's more focused on the paper in his hand, which he is frowning intensely at.

Boy, look at all those red marks on it. That's never a good sign.]

Stupid dumbass literature class, when am I ever gonna use this crap-

[But when he looks up and sees Akira, his expression instantly brightens up. Because Akira has that effect on him, any day becomes better when they get to walk home together.]

[Akira brightens as well, pushing away from the door frame to greet Rin with a two-fingered salute]

[. . . but it's clear he's teasing, despite his deadpan expression, especially when he steps forward and knocks his shoulder against Rin's]

Just the cooler of the Okumura twins, that's all.

[Rin can tease back with the best of them and take Akira's teasing in stride, at least.

He will knock shoulders back too, all while grinning. He doesn't have to be back to the orphanage until later, so they can take their time.]

[see, the proper teasing reply would be to say-- oh, hey Yukio, but. that's just mean. so Akira huffs out a laugh and rocks back, before making his way towards the school gates, Rin in tow]

Ooooh, right. I think I remember you now.

[his gaze flickers towards that marked up sheet of paper]

. . . rough day in literature class?

[He sounds so sure of himself too. Prepare to get aggressively friended, Akira.

Eeh, just a quiz. I'll have to study more to do better next time, or something like that.

[He sounds Oh So Thrilled at that though.
