Well okay, he understands what a prank is. It's just that his idea of what a 'prank' is happens to be a little...off. It's more along the lines of 'this is dangerous and someone might die' and 'oh god why would you do that', not mistletoe. So he doesn't recognize it as a prank yet.

Also, despite not wearing that collar anymore, he still wears a hoodie with the hood-up. So he's peering out at Oda curiously, his face partially obscured by the shade caused by his hood.]

[That's an explanation he had gotten a lot during his time in the mafia. It always annoyed him, and it's making him consider what to do here. Someone has been testing his newfound freedom by being contrary at times, and this feels inoffensive enough to be contrary over.]

But I guess the tradition would be to do it in December, wouldn't it? And to not do it at other times.

Actually, hearing that you're not supposed to do it except in December makes me want to do it more.
