Maybe we should sit down before we get kicked out of the fair.

[he says that cheekily. He doubts they would actually get kicked out for just kissing, but he also knows how quickly Vanitas' hands can end up wandering.

But hey, there's a table! And John will go ahead and slide onto the bench right there and start to scarf down his funnel cake.]

[ He is torn on if he minds being kicked out so soon. There's still more to explore and try, but the kissing is great.

Also it's not like he's the only culprit here. Taking the seat next to him to him. ]

Stop distracting me and we won't be kicked out.

[ He says that as he drapes an arm across John's back. Going to dig into the funnel cake though. ]

Okay, if that's what it takes.

[And he's going to just eat his funnel cake and not get affectionate at all. He won't even lean against Vanitas when that arm goes around his back.

Yes, he's doing it purely to see what Vanitas does.]

[ Wow.

If he wants to play it like that though, he's just going to move his hand lower down his back until it rests on his rear.

And just going to keep biting like he's not doing a thing. ]

What happened to not getting kicked out?

[He says that as soon as he feels the hand on his butt.]

Not my fault you're always distracting.

[ Also he doesn't like not getting a reaction. Giving his butt a squeeze. ]

Well if you need a distraction from the distraction, then we should go on a ride.

[He's totally reaching back to pull Vanitas' hand off of his butt and just hold it instead. Wholesome affection here, remember?]

[ Shifting his hand just to slide his fingers in-between John's. He'll take it.

Going to lean in to steal some of John's funnel cake. ]

I can do both.

[ Distractions from distractions and distractions. This made sense in my head okay. ]

Which ride?

[The funnel cake is stolen, but John doesn't seem to mind.]

How about that one ride that drops you down from really high up? It's pretty fun, it's almost like flying.

[ Just going to finish it all off then, as he looks to see what one he might be talking about. ]

The one with bungee cords or that one?

[ Pointing with his for at the ride one. Licking his lips as he stacks the plates. Time to find a trash can ~~besides himself~~ and then they can head over. ]

Both are good! But that one is closer, sooooo!

[Yep, time to drag Vanitas around again. Luckily there's a trash can on the way, so Vanitas can dispose of the plates.

'That one' ends up being a big tower that you get to slowly ride up and get dropped down from. Enjoy the freefall, Vanitas, because John sure is.]

[ Plate is disposed of and he goes along with his... lover? over to the ride.

Good news is that he's used to dropping down or freefalling. Bad news, he usually does it some time after a meal.

He doesn't get sick thankfully, but he does feel it. Not going to show it though. It'll pass, right?

When they are done, he'll pull him over towards one of the roller coasters. ]

When's the last time you've been on one of these?

[Unlike Vanitas, John does not feel sick in the slightest. He looks as energetic as he always does.]

It's been a little while, at least since Rose's 18th birthday. It's good to be back though, these places are fun!

[Next is some sort of spinning ride where both the platform and the seat spin.]

[ How does he do it.

It's cute, and it just spurs him on to not say shit. Can't be weak or can't ruin his excitement. ]

She's one of the friends you communicate with, right?

[ And there they go on the spinning ride, which doesn't help with what he's feeling.

Let's pick out another roller coaster. One that doesn't seem that bad until you're on it and mistakes have been made. It spins at every bump and turn. ]

You already know her! Or...wait, I guess I never said her name, huh? She's TT.

[TT. The person on the chat that had been helping him from afar during the game.]

I didn't get to introduce you to her yet, she's away on a mission. But I'll get the two of you to meet eventually. She's been my best friend ever since we were in 5th grade.

[And then it's time for the mistake coaster except John absolutely loves it and will drag Vanitas back for a second go if he doesn't speak up against the idea.]

Ah. One of your friends from then. Does she know about us?

[ Also meeting would be interesting since she also seems to think his plans can be dumb.

There's also the whole... new territory of what'll happen if she doesn't like him. He doesn't care about other people's opinions but John does. Yeah that's not helping the stomach and this is incredibly stupid to even think about. Giving his hand a squeeze for a moment, which might be the only indication something is up.

Not going to say anything for the second time either.

But afterwards he's a little unsteady on his feet. Just going to lean on him a bit. It's easier to be physical when he's not doing well. ]

Hold still.

[ Nevermind they are in public, but look hes not trying to smooch him. Just closing his eyes and trying to get his stomach to stop doing flips ]

[John is not worried at all, because he's already sure that Rose will like Vanitas. He's such a great guy, after all. How could anyone dislike him?

He does stop after the second go on the roller coaster, though, which is when he finally notices that something is wrong.]

Vani? Need a break?

[He does look like he's been through a bit much.]

[ He really needs to learn what great means. Also to remember most of the house didn't really like him or trust him.

Vanitas is probably looking paler than usual. Just going to lay his head on John's shoulder as he decides he should say something. ]

It's not settling down.

[ wat do when you don't feel well anyways. he's used to just... curling up some where alone until it passes ]

Too much spinning after the funnel cake?

[That's fine though, they can find a quiet set of tables at the carnival to sit for a minute or two. Once they're there John pulls Vanitas to come sit with him, or even lay down on the bench seating if he wants to. However he wants to do it is fine, John will be his pillow regardless.]

Who knows.

[ He still can't just fully admit it. Also it's still foreign to be cared for like this. Aqua was nice and did her best, but she always kept a respectable space between them. It's different with John.

He'll opt to lay down, putting his head on his lap and turning his face towards John. Let's talk other things. ]

What about the others you were working with?

The others? Like, Marona and Shiro and stuff?

[Everyone knew Marona was GG by the end of it, which left Shiro as TG.

Also, while Vanitas lays in his lap, John uses his hand to tuck a stray bit of Vanitas' hair behind his ear.]

[ He'll tilt his head towards that hand. He can keep touch if he wants. ]

Shiro is the last one. I don't think I've heard about him, yet.

[ He has seen that one conversation on John's phone weeks ago. The babysitter of Dazai. ]

[He's definitely going to keep touching Vanitas' hair, then. He's gently moving it around with his fingers, trying to keep Vanitas' face clear, as he speaks.]

He's a grumpy old guy. Well, not old old, but he's like 40 or something. He's got two kids but he also keeps an eye on a bunch more. That's how I met him: when I went looking for Marona, he tried to punch my face in.

[ Maybe getting sick wasn't such a bad thing if he's getting all of this attention.

He snickers at that. ]

Did he get a look at you first?

[ Since John doesn't look like someone who would be a threat. ]

Is he the one that gave you the talk?

Of course he did, I wasn't in disguise yet. He still tried to punch.

And what do you mean 'the talk'?
