There's this hotshot 20-something exorcist who is really fucking talented but has an ego the size of the empire state building so many of his coworkers simply tolerate his presence. But he's always busy with work and doesn't get nearly enough time for recreation.

So what is he doing on his first day off in the last month? Buying booze and cigarettes, of course. And some food too, but that is vastly outnumbered by the other, more important supplies.

It's only a one-night party, he's got to go back to work tomorrow, but he's going to make it count. Because he doesn't get nearly enough days off, and he's getting to the point where clubs annoy him.

Clearly he needs to meet someone else and do something besides get drunk at home, right?]

And big or small, all the ladies I've been with were satisfied.

[He snorts.]

[Suddenly his face goes serious.]

Summon a demon for shits and giggles again, and I'll shoot you along with the demon.

Ha! You'll never find me to shoot me! I'll stay far away from you!

[In retrospect, he probably should have stayed closer to Shiro. And probably should have listened better. Not that he didn't tell him to keep doing what he was doing, but the idea was suggested. And now, here he was. In an alleyway with three big strong demons, on the ground with his shirt destroyed and his pants ripped too, leaving him in just a pair of boxers for the most part.

'Hey, c'mon. Why are you stopping?'
'Yeah, thought you liked the attention. Begging big demons to fuck you.'
'Pffft, this won't make anyone like you any better, Samual.'

He sat there scared as one of them slapped him again. Shaking his head rapidly as another slap hit his cheek, causing him to cough and whimper as it was hard and painful.

'Well then. We'll just have to take what you owe us.'

He couldn't speak as one of the demons reached to grab him again, gasping for air and for the first time in his life, hoping that some human would see this and stop it.

Shiro was right, wasn't he? No one cared because he was a brat.]

[Well, Mephisto is about to get his wish, in a way.

The first demon, the one holding Mephisto, isn't there for much longer. A well-placed shot of an anti-demon bullet ends his life quickly, and he vanishes in a cloud of dust.

Before the other two can say anything, Shiro speaks up.]

If I were you, I'd scram right about now.

[Except for Mephisto, he better stay put.]

[When he heard the gun go off, he swore his life was over. But he felt himself flop back against the wall as the other two demons quickly ran off. He gasped for a moment, leaning forward to breath in...

And then turned his head to look at Shiro.]

...Okay. You're right... I have a shitty personality. You happy?

Not really.

[Even though he has a feeling of smug self-satisfaction over being right, he's not really happy. Because really Mephisto, messing with demons again?]

What'd I tell you I'd do, if I caught you summoning demons again?

...Too bad I didn't summon them.

[He holds himself close to his chest, trying to stay warm.]

...They hunted for me. Because I owed them... me.

[He is not so sure he believes that, but.]

They hunt you because your shitty personality draws them to you. I wasn't saying 'become a better person' because my lungs needed a workout, you know.

If you want help fighting them off, go to the academy. They'll make you stronger.

[He looks up with tears in the corners of his eyes.]

There. Does that make you feel like a better person? I deserved to get fucked whether I wanted it or not, apparently.

[SIGH.

Though maybe it's not unreasonable for Mephisto to be upset right now, he did just get attacked.]

...Come on. Let's get you home, so you can get changed.

[He pulls himself away as he stands up, shaking his head.]

No! I'm not going anywhere with you! Just... leave me alone! I don't need your pity.

[He whimpers as he starts to walk off, arms crossed over his chest.]

Do I look like the kind of guy who offers pity?

[Nope, he's following after Mephisto to ward off any demons that might come near him. Might as well keep the kid from getting harassed for a bit.]

[So they're fight walking? Fine by him.]

I don't care! I don't want to be anywhere near you if you think I deserved that!

[He tries to speed up a bit.]

Would I have chased them off if I thought you deserved it?

[Yep he's speeding up too, not letting Mephisto get away.]

You yelled at me right after saying I summoned them and said my shitty personality deserves it!

[Going to quickly move down a side street as his clothes fall more and more off from how they were ripped.]

No, I said your shitty personality is what attracts them to you! That has nothing to do with you deserving it or not, it's just an explanation as to why it happens!

[He falls against the wall, sliding to the ground with tears rolling out of his eyes. His hand slam against the building behind him.]

[Welp.

That gets Shiro to stop, at least. But he stays there, waiting for Mephisto to calm down a bit, before doing anything else.

He's not going to just leave this kid here though, so Mephisto will have to deal with him standing there.]

So what if my personality is shitty?! So what if I do stupid shit to get attention?!?

[His head hits back against the building as tears fall faster.]

Satan doesn't love me and my mom is dead! And it's all my fault because I'm a shitty person, right?!

Nope.

[He's not going to clarify that though, not while Mephisto is angry and yelling. But he does mean 'no, it's not your fault,' because kids aren't to blame for having shitty or dead parents.]

[He starts to sob, leaning his head forward into his arms to try and dry the tears up.]

No one loves me... the demons were right... the only way anyone cares is if I spread my legs for them...

[He's just going to sit there and sob for a bit.]

[Well, at least these tears seem genuine, compared to the 'crying' Shiro saw last time. So these are real feelings here.]

[Why is he even offering this is something for social services, not an exorcist.]
